Marketing Executive: how to apply

The role

We are a UAE-based real estate advisory focused on Saudi Arabia, serving Muslim investors. We are hiring one freelance Marketing Executive on a monthly retainer.

We do not name the company in this document. You will hear who we are in the first minute of the call, if you get that far. Everything you need to decide whether to apply is below.

• Design is the main job: documents, brand posts, carousels, stat graphics
• Short-form video editing is the second job: clips for our channel
• You also own the posting queue, working to a calendar approved in advance

Retainer: AED 3,500 to 5,000 per month, depending on skill.

Remote. UAE based is strongly preferred.

Work from home. One catch-up a month, online, or in person if you are in the UAE.

Working knowledge of Hajj, Umrah, and the significance of Makkah and Madinah is essential; content is written for a Muslim investor audience.

Who this is for

No professional experience required. Precision required.

Personal projects and student projects count as samples. We would rather see a course assignment you got exactly right than agency work you cannot explain.

What to include

1. Your three answers, in the body of the email. Not in an attachment. 100 words maximum for each answer.
2. Two or three links to your work. Personal or student work is fine. Live links, not files.
3. One line stating the software you use and the machine you work on.
4. A screen recording of 2 to 3 minutes, walking through one of your own pieces in your own voice. Show the file, talk through the choices you made. Any recording tool is fine. A link is fine.
5. If you attach any file, name it in this format: lastname-firstname-item.ext

One rule on tools

Write your answers and your email yourself. Do not use AI tools to write any part of your application or the trial tasks. We are hiring your judgment and your writing. The process includes doing this kind of work live on a call, so borrowed work shows quickly.

The three questions

Answer all three, in the email body, 100 words maximum each.

Q1. Which of your samples best shows attention to detail, and what is one mistake you caught in your own work before delivering.

Q2. What reference will your application be logged under, and in one line, why does getting a name or reference exactly right matter in client-facing documents.

Q3. In one or two lines, what should a designer never get wrong when making content about Makkah and Madinah for a Muslim investor audience.

What we do not need

• No cover letter
• No portfolio PDF
• No introduction call before applying

What happens next

1. We read every application that follows the instructions above. Each one is logged under reference MX-26 when it arrives.
2. Shortlisted candidates complete two short trial tasks.
3. Two people get a 30 minute call, half interview and half live work on screen.
4. One person gets the retainer, starting with a one month probation.
